Village Samayal - Pethanpillai Kudiyiruppu (01/01/2021)

Kootanchoru is a very popular South Indian (Tirunelveli) dish which is very easy to make. It is actually a very simple, wholesome one pot meal prepared with rice, lentils (dal), vegetables, greens and legumes. It is very delicious and nutritious. You can substitute rice with millet, quinoa or cracked wheat (samba godhumai ravai)

Diwali Dress to Country Artists

In 2021, due to Covid19 lock down Country Artists in Tamil Nadu struggled to celebrate Diwali Festival. I-Support Trust chosen 20 Country Artists from Tanjore & Pattukottai to provide them Diwali dresses.

Kadayam

Since 2015, we have adopted a village called Kadayam and conducted various social awareness activities. 

  • Starting 2017, we have been executing Buttermilk distribution program in Kadayam bus stand throughout the month of May.

  • In June 2015 we conducted "Fogless Pogi" awareness rally in kadayam with the help of volunteers from Chatram Bharathi Hr. Sec. School.

  • During 2015 and 2016, we cleaned a Krishnan temple in Kadayam and developed a Garden behind the Temple.

  • In 2015 we cleaned and developed a Garden at a Primary Health Center in Kadayam

Mannarkovil

During Mrch, 2015, we adopted Mannarkovil village and conducted the following social activities; veterinary camp, Clean India drive, saplings distribution, and Dengue prevention activities. We also cleaned the water tanks to ensure the villagers get clean drinking water.

Vagaikulam

Village Adoption: Welcome

During March 2015, we adopted Vagaikulam village and executed the following social activities; veterinary camp, Clean India drive, saplings & vegetable seed distribution, and Dengue prevention initiative. We also cleaned the water tank to ensure clean drinking water for the villagers. On 25th March, we set up a Free Eye checkup camp by working with Aravinth Eye Hospital, Tirunelveli. This benefited the senior people living in Mannarkovil, Vagaikulam and Brammadesam villages. Completed eye checkup for 250 People and 30 of them received free cataract surgery.
